Kate Kelly grew up in Sonoma County, California where a love for all things Charles Schulz was instilled at a young age. She attended UC Davis and graduated with a BS in Environmental Science and Economics. She has called Portland home since 2013 starting off with work in the environmental sector. After volunteering with SMART Reading, she knew she wanted to go back to school for education.
Kate got her Masters in Education from Portland State University with an emphasis on art integration. She has taught first grade and kindergarten before coming to Tucker Maxon as a Preschool Teacher. Her love for reading and art always finds its way into her classroom.
When she is not teaching, Kate loves to spend time with her husband, daughter and their big dog Vinnie. They go on hikes, play at parks, cook together and read lots and lots of books.
