Tucker Maxon School is seeking a fulltime PE teacher to start in January 2022. We are looking for a skilled and professional individual to be part of our team. This position is Exempt and reports to the Principal.

The PE teacher will plan, coordinate, and teach developmentally appropriate sports, games, and skills to our Preschool through 5th grade students. The PE teacher will support students in developing understanding and skills in all areas of physical education including basic health and wellness. The PE teacher will also assist in the maintenance and care of our playground, school garden and resident goats. The Principal may assign other duties. We would like to have you start in January, but we are flexible.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in elementary physical education.
- Pass background check and obtain a Criminal Registry Number
- Ability to work effectively with a team
- Love children
- Sense of humor
- Proof of vaccination
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in relevant discipline
- Experience teaching in an independent school setting
- Experience teaching physical education to young children
- Current teaching license
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis
Mobility sufficient to move about the campus
Ability to provide instruction to students and supervise activities
Salary: $40,000 to $50,000 DOE plus excellent benefits.
