Jennifer Carver was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She is the oldest of 4 sisters. She graduated from Portland State University with a BS in History. She started working at Tucker Maxon as an EA in December of 2000. She entered the Masters of Education program at Lewis and Clark College in 2002 and graduated with a Masters of Education, Deaf and Hard of Hearing in 2003. She did some of her studies, student teaching, and a mentorship at Tucker Maxon during her Masters Program. She married Scott Carver in September of 2004 and moved to Lacey, Washington for two years, where she taught children ages 2 to 18 with low vision, blindness, and hearing impairment. She and her husband then moved to Eugene, Oregon for a short time and Scott and Jennifer welcomed their first daughter Olivia.
In 2008 the Carver family moved back to Portland and Jennifer returned to Tucker Maxon. She has taught in both the elementary and preschool programs. Jennifer now has two daughters; her second, Sophia was born in 2014.
Jennifer loves spending time with her family, traveling, and reading and crafting.
